Garden Tilled

Tomato Disaster
Well, at least it seemed like a disaster at first. After evicting the chickens from the greenhouse I scooped all the manure into a pile, mixed with straw then wet it really well. After the second day the pile was heating up nicely. So I thought, great! That will keep the tomato transplants [...]

Chickens 
The chickens are enjoying their new freedom and dispensing of any earthworms immediately outside the greenhouse.  They’ve been confined to the greenhouse all winter and seem happy to explore other areas again.  I’m eager to get them into their summer home (a movable coop and electric fencing) so I can get to work inside the [...]
